The highlight of the Leaping Lizards calendar is always our shows! They’re a chance for our dancers to shine on stage, build confidence, and share their love of dance with family and friends.

We run two types of shows

Theatre Production

Every second year

These are elaborate, original theatre shows with costumes, sets, props and plenty of excitement! Each production is written and produced by Miss Lorna and gives our dancers the chance to be part of a creative, full-scale performance.

Alternate Years

Also held in the theatre, these shows see each class perform its own dance item within a themed programme, without the big sets or storyline of our major productions. We also celebrate achievements with awards presentations, making it a special night for everyone.

Adventure to Planet Groove

Three sad aliens from Planet Boring set off in a long-forgotten spaceship to chase the fun they’ve only ever watched from afar. Their adventure through space is full of surprises, but the Planet Boring Agents are secretly closing in. Will they reach Planet Groove, or be dragged back to their dull home?

At the Circus

Our tiniest dancers are ready to take you on a magical circus adventure filled with roaring lions, twirling tigers, bouncing bunnies and daring tight-rope walkers.

Get ready for giggles, sparkle, and a little bit of circus magic under the big top!

A new zoo in Funky Town is due to open, but where are the animals?! Come along and allow yourself to be whisked away into a colourful, creative adventure that is a race against time and a whole lot of Hullabaloo!

Showcase & Awards

Allow us to entertain you for a happy hour....and a half.  Featuring dancers from our Hip Hop, Ballet, Jazz, Tap and Contemporary classes.

2021

Dance upon a time

Come along and allow yourself to be whisked away into a different reality.  Experience the highs and lows of four librarians as they undertake an exhilarating journey to return some objects to their rightful owners.  Will they find who they are looking for?  Who else will they see on their journey? And will they be able to deliver the items on time?

The Queen of England's Crown Jewels have been stolen. But by who? And where have they been taken? Join our dancers for an epic, exciting journey around the world where three Secret Agents attempt to fulfil the Queen's request and rescue and return the jewels.
