Rylee Prenter

She / her

Qualifications

Bachelor of Arts, majoring in Educational Psychology (ongoing)

Bio

Rylee is studying a Bachelor of Arts, majoring in Educational Psychology, at Victoria University. She has always known she wanted to become a teacher, hence the degree choice, but with dance being a constant in her life since three years old, and feeling that dance warms her heart in a way nothing else does, becoming a teacher for Leaping Lizards alongside her studies is the perfect combination.

Rylee has trained in a wide range of styles, including Hip Hop, Ballet, Jazz and Contemporary. However, over the years she’s realised that her joy doesn’t just come from dancing herself, but from helping others, particularly children, find that same joy and confidence through movement.

At high school Rylee was a Dance Academy Leader. Mentoring dancers, choreographing, and building a supportive, positive team environment. Her teams regularly placed highly in competitions including a Hip Hop Crew placing 2nd at Nationals and a Contemporary team placing first in regionals. She has also taught for a large dance studio in Palmerston North.

Rylee will bring her bubbly, kind, approachable nature to the students of Leaping Lizards.
